The activities and services of Letní dům are not only targeted towards children from 6 to 26 years old from children’s homes in the Czech Republic, we are here to help all youths who have grown up in institutional care.

Support for families with children who find themselves in difficult life situations.
Our projects span a range of areas. The goal of our services is to provide youths from children’s homes with stronger psychosocial and practical skills. Our experience shows that this will enable them, upon leaving institutional care, to experience a more fluent transition to independent life.
We also support families who are facing challenging life situations. Our goal is to stabilize the lives of all family members by helping the family solve their practical problems (e.g., dealing with debts, looking for a job, helping with the child’s schooling etc.). At the same time, we strive to build a safe, understanding and caring family environment for children by focusing on the development of deeper parenting skills and improving family communication.
We also offer assistance, support and training for foster parents who are entrusted with looking after disadvantaged children and act as theirsubstitute family.
