We offer support services to foster parents who are preparing for fostering for the first time or to those who have already been taking care of entrusted children. The regular clubs which we organise provide the opportunity for foster carers to share similar experiences and discuss specific topics based on their particular needs.
Some foster parents are given individual assistance. Our aim is to support them in their often difficult role. We offer training, education and relieving services but we also conduct evaluations and controls on whether they take care of the entrusted children properly. We support the contact of foster children with their original family.
The development of the substitute family care is important as it means that fewer and fewer children will have to be placed in children´s homes.
